Lolita Conscious is a fashion editorial series produced for Elle Japan. Captured by photographer Shunya Arai and styled by fashion editor Tamao Iida, the project explores structured, classic silhouettes through a contemporary lens. The series features model Edwina Preston across a variety of interior settings, ranging from wood-paneled rooms to stone terraces and arched hallways. The styling leans into classic patterns and textures—including tweed, houndstooth, and checkered motifs—offset by refined accessories and structured handbags. Executed with a clean, editorial aesthetic, the imagery utilizes natural light to emphasize architectural details and material quality. The composition employs a mix of clean lines and retro-inspired framing, blending traditional, classic architectural backdrops with modern wardrobe elements.
