For its January 2025 edition, Elle Czech Republic presents 'The Light Issue,' a fashion editorial feature centered on the interplay between form and luminescence. Photographer Matus Toth captures model Karolina Bisova in a series of compositions that navigate the boundary between high-fashion portraiture and experimental motion photography. The imagery utilizes long exposure techniques to weave ethereal light trails in acid green, gold, and pale yellow across the frame, framing the subject in an otherworldly, fiber-optic aura. The editorial leans into moody, low-key lighting and surreal overlays, juxtaposing sculptural garments—including textured tweed, sheer fabrics, and architectural corsetry—against deep charcoal and gradient studio backgrounds. Through a blend of multiple exposure and intentional motion blur, the project creates a layered, dreamlike aesthetic that emphasizes fluid movement and high-contrast silhouettes.
