Dolce & Gabbana
Holiday 2024 Ad Campaign

Nov 2024
The Dolce & Gabbana Holiday 2024 ad campaign masterfully pivots from traditional luxury marketing to offer a meta-commentary on the craft of high-end fashion production itself. By positioning the brand's shimmering gold sequin and chainmail garments within the controlled chaos of a studio environment, the campaign—directed and photographed by Gordon von Steiner—blurs the line between the final editorial image and the labor of the lens. With creative direction from Charles Levai and Kevin Tekinel, the visuals lean into a sophisticated, high-key lighting approach that treats the studio strobe as a foundational character, illuminating the sharp contrast between the opulent, metallic textures of the featured collections and the stark, minimalist black turtlenecks worn by the supporting cast. The inclusion of vintage-style large format camera equipment within the frame serves as a deliberate nod to the technical rigor required to capture such polished, commercial elegance. Stylist Emmanuelle Alt curates a vision that feels both intimate and grand, utilizing the collaborative movement of models like Awar Odhiang, Felice Nova Noordhoff, Kit Butler, Lulu Tenney, and Mathieu Simoneau to suggest a narrative of artistic synergy. This project stands as a celebration of the creative process, rendered through a crisp, commercial lens that highlights the tactile quality of the materials while maintaining the poise and formal precision synonymous with the house of Dolce & Gabbana.
