Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Sartoria project serves as a showcase for high-end artisanal craftsmanship within the luxury fashion sector. Under the creative direction of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the work highlights a series of complex garments that lean into traditional techniques, including intricate embroidery, needlework, and ornate metalwork. The imagery utilizes a tactile and earthy aesthetic to draw focus to the detailed textures of handmade lace, crochet, and carved wooden ceremonial masks. Photographed by Alex Dobe, the editorial series alternates between tightly cropped macro compositions and cinematic motion-blur portraits. By employing natural light and raw, gritty visual treatments, the project emphasizes the dimensional quality of the materials and the sculptural form of the accessories against both outdoor terrains and minimal, desaturated backgrounds.
