Deep Rising serves as an investigative documentary examining the fragile deep-ocean ecosystem and the intersection of industrial extraction. The project documents rare, bioluminescent marine life alongside the heavy equipment utilized by mining exploration vessels on the seafloor.
Utilizing a cinematic documentary approach, the film leans into moody, dark underwater visuals to contrast natural habitats with large-scale industrial activity. The project was developed through a collaborative effort involving production partners Deep Rising, Emotive, Taledo, and JTB, with media contributions from Kookaburra Riot and Coinweb, and PR support from Havas Red.
