Somewhere in Her Smile is a fashion editorial feature for D Repubblica, centered on a series of portraits showcasing model Mona Tougaard. The work leans into a clean, studio-focused aesthetic that prioritizes sculptural silhouettes and detailed textures across a variety of high-fashion ensembles. Photographer Julien Martinez Leclerc directs the series against a neutral, gradient grey backdrop, utilising soft, directional studio lighting to articulate the craftsmanship of the garments. The project integrates elements of beauty photography, with fashion editor and stylist Katie Burnett curating a distinct range of looks—from avant-garde accessories and structured leather pieces to bold, graphic knitwear and vibrant headscarves. Olivier Schawalder’s hair styling and makeup by Yadim complete the visual narrative, reinforcing the project's polished editorial quality.
