In the striking fashion editorial project No Trespassing for D Repubblica, photographer Sam Rock explores the visceral friction between high-end couture and the raw, unforgiving grit of urban decay. Throughout this series, Rock leans into a minimalist aesthetic, juxtaposing meticulously styled models against the desolate, unfinished interiors of derelict buildings. Under the sharp, precise fashion direction of Katie Burnett, the collection features a masterclass in textural storytelling, where sculptural organza gowns and structured leather trench coats find themselves seated amidst scattered debris, concrete rubble, and industrial insulation. The interplay of light serves as the project’s heartbeat; whether captured in cinematic low-key chiaroscuro or bathed in clinical, cool-toned natural light, the imagery maintains a profound sense of tension. Casting directors Giulia Massullo and Piergiorgio Del Moro anchor the campaign with an ensemble cast, including Frauke Nijs and George Anderson, whose direct, neutral gazes bridge the gap between the polished silhouettes they inhabit and the chaotic environment surrounding them.
