For the D Repubblica project 'I Long For Wildness,' photographer Luis Alberto Rodriguez and fashion editor Carlos Nazario collaborate on a sprawling editorial series that interrogates the tension between structured high fashion and rugged, organic landscapes. Across a series of both studio and location-based portraits, model Alex Consani grounds the narrative, wearing architectural tailoring and textured layers that range from oversized blazers and plaid kilts to intricate, feathered headpieces. The series transitions between high-contrast monochrome studio work—utilizing low-key chiaroscuro lighting to accentuate sculptural silhouettes—and earthy, natural-light compositions set within dense forests and coastal terrain. With hair by Mustafa Yanaz and makeup by Dick Page, the aesthetic remains raw and atmospheric throughout. Set design by Nicholas des Jardins complements these shifts, moving from ornate interior props to the chaotic textures of a natural forest canopy to evoke a mood that is both grounded and avant-garde.
