Shape of Architecture is a fashion editorial series for Cosmopolitan China that explores the intersection of high-concept tailoring and sculptural form. The project leans into avant-garde silhouettes, featuring garments that incorporate transparent materials, delicate floral enclosures, and exaggerated, voluminous proportions to blur the lines between wearable fashion and structural art. Photographer Jialing Hu captures the series through a clean, minimalist lens, utilizing bright studio lighting and high-key backgrounds to emphasize the graphic quality of the styling. Hair stylist MingHu Zhang and makeup artist Yooyo Keong Ming contribute to the series’ rigorous aesthetic, alternating between slicked-back wet-look hairstyles, dramatic blonde spikes, and precise, minimalist graphic eyeliner. The session features casting by Grigorii Kopa, with models Ying Ouyang and Zavi bringing a poise that anchors the collection’s ornate, textured compositions.
