Description
Radical Hope is a multi-layered fashion editorial for Coeval Magazine, exploring themes of raw structuralism and surrealist composition. The project leans into a moody aesthetic through the extensive use of low-key and chiaroscuro lighting, often juxtaposed against stark monochrome backdrops. Photographer and creative director Joaquin Castillo directs the series, which features a recurring sculptural focus through avant-garde styling by Gabriel Held. The imagery utilizes a variety of techniques including high-contrast flash, gritty textures, and surreal graphic typography to build a melancholic atmosphere. Hair styling by Isaac Davidson complements the precise, geometric arrangements of the talent, including model Sam Carter.
