Chet Lo
FW26 Night Market

Mar 2026
For the FW26 Night Market campaign, designer Chet Lo leans into a sophisticated fusion of avant-garde fashion and culinary conceptualism. This fashion campaign, featuring art direction from Nicole Yingming Chen, constructs a highly stylized, monochromatic world defined by deep, mottled terracotta and crimson backgrounds. The project meticulously balances dark, sculptural textiles with deliberate, minimalist set pieces, effectively bridging the gap between high-end apparel and traditional cultural motifs. Throughout the series, the imagery utilizes soft light and low-key chiaroscuro lighting to accentuate the tactile complexity of the collection, from sheer mesh and dense, emerald green plumage to sharp, thorn-like fabric protrusions. Beyond the striking portraits of talent, the campaign integrates still-life compositions that feature steaming bamboo steamers and weathered kitchen elements, grounding the ethereal garments in a visceral, tactile environment. The execution reads as a calculated exploration of texture and silhouette, utilizing cinematic editorial techniques to transform everyday objects into symbols of refined, artistic inquiry. By framing the models against moody, earth-toned backdrops and incorporating precise, macro-focused details, the work creates a consistent visual language that feels simultaneously nostalgic and experimental. The result is an immersive, atmospheric narrative that successfully elevates the brand’s identity through disciplined art direction and a commitment to vivid, evocative color-blocking.
