18 Shades of Grey is an editorial portrait series for Carcy Magazine, featuring a diverse cast including Michael Stipe and Rick Owens. Photographed by Luke Abby with creative direction from Benjamin Huseby, the project explores form and identity through a recurring aesthetic of tactile layering and domestic settings. Techniques such as natural light, grainy textures, and moody, high-contrast flash define the visual narrative. The series juxtaposes clean, sculptural silhouettes against cluttered or minimalist interiors, emphasizing personal detail and raw textures through vertical, editorial-style compositions.
