This behind-the-scenes documentary offers a detailed look at the character development for the BMW project featuring Okto the Octopus. The sequence tracks the evolution of the creature, beginning with hand-drawn concept sketches and anatomical studies of octopus textures and morphology. Moving through the technical pipeline, the production footage highlights digital 3D sculpting models and complex rigging systems. The final output integrates these elements into rendered animations, showcasing the interplay between 3D render / CGI techniques and artistic reference boards. Agency Jung von Matt led the creative development, with post-production and visual effects provided by Black Kite and production support from Parasol Island and Untold Studios. Sound design and music were composed by Hello Robin, with additional editorial contributions by tenthree.
