Blau International presents Make Believe, a high-fashion editorial series that explores movement and distortion through an avant-garde lens. The project leverages long exposure and multiple exposure techniques to create ghostly, motion-blurred silhouettes that challenge traditional portraiture, set against a backdrop of deep shadows and low-key chiaroscuro lighting. Photographer Mark Luckasavage captures the series with an emphasis on dramatic color shifts, employing vivid neon pinks, amber, and desaturated greens to build a surreal atmosphere. Fashion styling by Marie Chaix and hair and makeup by Akemi Kishida and Niamh Quinn respectively anchor the visuals, featuring textured fabrics and intricate accessories. With casting direction by Bert Martirosyan and set design by Rafael Medeiros, the work leans into a moody, cinematic aesthetic.
