About

Faces In Focus is a multidisciplinary editorial project for Beyond Noise that synthesizes high-fashion photography with avant-garde graphic design and sculptural elements. The work moves between stark, monochrome portraiture and layered, mixed-media collages, utilizing corrugated cardboard props and geometric set pieces to frame its subjects. Creative director David James and photographer Craig McDean anchor the project’s visual language, which emphasizes texture, form, and structural minimalism. The editorial is brought to life through the precise fashion editing of Sarah Richardson, complemented by the sharp hair styling of Eugene Souleiman and makeup by Francelle Daly. Throughout the series, the interplay of natural light and studio lighting creates a polished, desaturated aesthetic that highlights both the apparel and the architectural compositions of the sets designed by Gary Card.
