Take Me Out

Apr 2026
The Take Me Out project for Behind the Blinds serves as a masterclass in contemporary fashion editorial photography, stripping away extraneous noise to focus entirely on the intersection of identity and sartorial craftsmanship. Under the sharp photographic eye of Emilia Staugaard, the series leans into a minimalist aesthetic, utilizing a clean studio palette to ensure that the layered textures of luxury fashion houses take center stage. Through the curation of fashion editor and stylist Thomas Turian, the project creates a dialogue between rigid leather structures and soft, intricate knitwear, all brought to life by a diverse ensemble of talent including Arthur Hargous, Glory Adjei, and Konrad Bauer. The execution effectively balances studio strobe precision with the subtle nuances of natural light, allowing the interplay of fabric and skin to dictate the mood. Whether utilizing tight, head-and-shoulders framing or full-length lifestyle poses, the work excels in its editorial minimalism, occasionally shifting into moody, low-key chiaroscuro to add visceral depth. With contributions from hair stylist Mickael Jauneau and casting director Olivier Duperrin, the project achieves a polished, cohesive vision that feels both timeless and urgent, proving that powerful portraiture requires nothing more than exceptional talent, a deliberate eye, and a masterful understanding of light and composition.
