Through the Gateway is a fashion editorial series for Flaunt magazine featuring Ava Phillippe. The project spans a range of high-contrast monochrome studio portraiture and warmer, nostalgically-toned imagery captured in domestic interiors. Photographer Dennis Leupold utilizes clean, directional lighting and low-key chiaroscuro techniques to emphasize texture and silhouette throughout the series. Fashion editor and stylist Siena Montesano anchors the aesthetic, pairing minimalist black ensembles with intricate lace details and vintage-inspired accessories. The editorial is supported by hair styling from Christopher Farmer and makeup by Alexandra French, collectively highlighting an analogue film aesthetic that leans into soft, natural light and rich, organic backdrops.
