Audible
Brand Identity

May 2024
Audible’s brand identity project for the production of George Orwell’s 1984 presents a study in retro-futuristic motion design and environmental installation. The work leverages a monochromatic visual language, utilizing motion graphics and stark typography to evoke a dystopian atmosphere across digital and physical touchpoints. Execution centers on the juxtaposition of analog technology and modern streaming media, featuring stacked arrays of vintage CRT televisions that display glitches, scan lines, and high-contrast text. This aesthetic extends into high-impact outdoor digital advertising, with large-scale billboards in urban hubs integrating the same graphic motifs of eyes and minimalist letterforms. Supporting assets capture the brand narrative within documentary-style transit environments and technical behind-the-scenes displays. The project, which involved graphic design contributions from Alphabetical, emphasizes a clinical, rhythmic approach to brand storytelling.
