Arena Homme +
Videotheque, b/w Living A Life Of Dreams

May 2026
In a poignant homage to the tactile allure of pre-digital media, Arena Homme + presents Videotheque, a sprawling editorial fashion project that masterfully braids 1980s nostalgia with contemporary sartorial precision. Photographer Alasdair McLellan captures the essence of a bygone era, setting a contemplative, cinematic tone that leans into the grit of urban interiors and the colorful, kitsch vibrancy of vintage video rental stores. Through a series of black and white imagery and high-contrast color studies, the project channels a raw, editorial minimalism that celebrates both the subject and the relics of a physical media culture. Fashion editor and stylist Max Pearmain curates an ensemble that juxtaposes textured knitwear, oversized wool coats, and bold, logo-heavy apparel against backgrounds of retro arcade cabinets and shelves packed with classic VHS cassettes. The visual narrative is further refined by the precise, groomed work of hair stylist Anthony Turner and makeup artist Lynsey Alexander, who facilitate a clean, modern aesthetic that grounds the period-inspired theme in a sharp, current context. Utilizing natural light and authentic analogue film techniques, the series eschews digital artifice in favor of organic textures and nostalgic reverence. This campaign reads as an intimate, reverent meditation on the cultural artifacts of cinema and gaming, framed through the distinct, elevated lens of high-fashion editorial production.
