Stepping Stone is a fashion editorial series for Archives Futures featuring a collection of studio portraits that examine texture and form. Captured by photographer Keiichiro Nakajima, the project employs a clean, minimalist aesthetic to frame model Amandine Pouilly through both soft-lit color photography and high-contrast monochrome imagery. Working under the editorial direction of Jalis Vienne, the production leans into a restrained visual language. Fashion editor Rika Watanabe pairs structured leather and draped fabrics with metallic accents, while makeup artist ChiChi Saito and hair stylist Kazuto Shimomura refine the look with bold red lips, graphic lash work, and detailed grooming. The series utilizes natural light and film-like grain textures to highlight specific details, including sculptural gold jewelry and sharp sartorial styling.
