Description

The Pop editorial project for AFR Magazine explores the intersection of luxury horology and high-end textiles within a cinematic, desert-inspired narrative. Through a series of grounded, character-driven portraits and wide-angle compositions, the work leans into a warm color palette to highlight the intricate details of knitwear, crochet appliques, and vintage automotive aesthetics. Photographer Steven Popovich utilises natural light to create soft, textured imagery that balances the rugged arid terrain with the interior intimacy of a workshop setting. Fashion styling by Virginia van Heythuysen rounds out the series, emphasising tactile contrasts between metallic watch surfaces and rich knit textures in a collection of editorial visuals that utilise earthy tones and clean framing.
