For 72 Magazine’s 'Excess All Areas' editorial, photographer Gabriel Moses orchestrates a series of striking fashion portraits that explore form and texture. The project features a cohesive aesthetic defined by low-key, chiaroscuro lighting and atmospheric, moody color palettes. Against heavily distressed and mottled backdrops, the styling by fashion editor Julia Sarr-Jamois leans into high-contrast silhouettes, juxtaposing intricate jewelry with avant-garde textile choices. The series is bolstered by the hair artistry of Jawara, whose sculpted, voluminous, and brightly accented styles provide a dynamic counterpoint to the raw settings. The imagery captures a cinematic and tactile quality, emphasizing deep directional shadows and the materiality of the garments.
