The 'Bond Girls' project for 5ELEVEN Magazine is a comprehensive fashion editorial series that draws inspiration from the high-stakes, cinematic aesthetic of vintage spy cinema. Through a sequence of meticulously composed studio portraits, photographer Edwin S Freyer and stylist Alton Hetariki build a visual narrative rooted in 1960s-inspired glamour and high-contrast sculptural styling. Technique plays a central role in the execution, with the series moving between sharp, monochrome portraiture and dramatic, low-key lighting setups. Many of the images lean into a clean, minimalist editorial style, utilizing soft beauty light to highlight intricate jewelry, metallic textures, and sharp tailoring. The series features models Alejandra Alonso, India Rawsthorn, Lotta Kaijärvi, and Mayowa Adagunduro, each styled to reflect a different facet of the retro-spy archetype, ranging from avant-garde evening wear to iconic cinematic props.
