Sasurai is a sprawling fashion editorial for 5ELEVEN Magazine, captured through the lens of photographer Edwin S Freyer. The project leans into a contemplative, observational aesthetic, documenting model Kinari Tamukai across a variety of coastal and traditional architectural settings. Executed with an analogue film sensibility, the series shifts between high-contrast monochrome portraits and desaturated, earthy colour compositions. The styling bridges the gap between intricate, textured luxury apparel and layered, casual forms, while the use of natural light accentuates the rugged textures of the shoreline and historic stone structures. Casting direction by Lewis Waters frames the subject within a range of moody, atmospheric environments that emphasize a sense of movement and narrative depth.
