Bio

Hailing from the vibrant South Side of Chicago, my passion for directing took root in my childhood, inspired by my father's work on a local television show that captured the essence of life in our community. This early exposure to the art of storytelling ignited my fascination with filmmaking, honing my eye for detail and craftsmanship. My directing journey truly began in the U.S. Navy, where I served as a Mass Communications Specialist. In this role, I had the unique opportunity to write, produce, shoot, and edit a diverse array of videos and documentaries that showcased military operations across the globe. Over the course of nine transformative years, I traveled to 16 countries, including a pivotal deployment to Afghanistan, each experience enriching my perspective and enhancing my storytelling abilities. After concluding my military service, I pursued my passion for visual storytelling at the School of Visual Arts. There, I earned a B.A. in Advertising followed by a Master of Professional Studies in Directing. My time at SVA was marked by the creation of several short films and commercials, many of which have been showcased at film festivals nationwide, further solidifying my commitment to the craft and my vision as a director.
