Nacho Alegre is an accomplished photographer, director, publisher, and creative director based in the vibrant city of Barcelona. With a background in Law, Nacho made a bold transition to the world of photography, where he primarily focuses on captivating campaigns and editorial work. While he identifies as a photographer, his artistic expression extends far beyond the lens, encompassing a diverse range of creative pursuits. In 2009, Nacho co-founded ‘Apartamento,’ a celebrated magazine that delves into the aesthetics of everyday life and interiors. As both Creative Director and Editor, he has cultivated a unique platform that resonates with design enthusiasts and casual readers alike. His distinctive aesthetic, influenced by his deep-rooted passion for editorial storytelling, breathes life into the objects and spaces he captures, transforming ordinary subjects into poetic visual narratives. Nacho's portfolio boasts collaborations with renowned brands such as Vitra, Levi’s, Adidas, Nike, Urban Outfitters, and Philip Lim, showcasing his versatility and keen artistic vision. His work has been featured in prestigious publications including Hercules, Vogue, GQ, New York Times T Magazine, and El País, among others. In recognition of his innovative approach, ‘Apartamento’ was honored with a prestigious Yellow Pencil at the D&AD Awards in London in 2010, marking it as the best creative direction and best magazine—a historic achievement as the first Spanish project to receive this accolade in sixty years.
