Geray Mena

Geray Mena is a dynamic visual artist whose work seamlessly blends commercial practice with innovative self-directed projects. After earning his MFA in Photography from EFTI in Madrid, Mena relocated to Paris, where he honed his craft and expanded his artistic vision over several years. His journey then took him to London and eventually to Amsterdam, where he further refined his skills at the esteemed Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Mena's artistic output is characterized by meticulously crafted staged images and films that delve into the complex semiotics of contemporary visual culture. Through his work, he skillfully navigates the intersections of the art world and commercial media, exploring the seductive mechanisms that shape modern image production. His diverse portfolio includes notable commercial campaigns, high-profile editorials, and published works, alongside prestigious solo exhibitions in renowned galleries and museums such as CentroCentro, WOW Amsterdam, Luis Adelantado Gallery, and the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Art. Since 2020, Mena has also embraced the role of , sharing his expertise through teaching, lectures, and workshops at institutions like ESD and ÉCAL.
