Fumiko, an artist whose journey spans continents, was born in Japan and spent formative years in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She honed her artistic sensibilities at Central Saint Martins, where she immersed herself in fine art, before expanding her creative repertoire with studies in photography and fashion styling at The London College of Fashion. Fumiko has garnered acclaim for her striking self-portrait photography, where she explores identity through the lens of her identical yet entirely fictional twin sister. This innovative approach not only captivates audiences but also invites deeper contemplation on themes of duality and perception. In 2018, she embarked on a notable collaboration with Jonathan Anderson for Loewe, contributing to campaigns and the brand's biannual cultural publication, which showcases her unique vision. Her vibrant and captivating images have been featured in numerous prestigious fashion publications, solidifying her status in the industry. Since 2005, Fumiko has published over ten books showcasing her photography, and her work has been exhibited extensively across the globe.
