Denis Boulze's journey into the world of photography began in his formative years, where he honed his craft as a first assistant at Rouchon Studio, working alongside esteemed photographers such as Sarah Moon, Jan Walter, and Sofia and Mauro. In addition to his photographic pursuits, Denis is also an accomplished filmmaker, seamlessly blending the two mediums to create evocative visual narratives. His personal work oscillates between color and black and white, capturing fashion series and still life with a distinctive poetic sensibility. Currently, he is on the brink of publishing a long-term project that intimately explores family portraits taken at their cherished summer home. This series exemplifies Denis's signature style, characterized by a soft, timeless quality that invites viewers to connect on a deeper emotional level. Denis's affinity for analog photography reflects his desire for intimacy with his subjects, nurturing a profound connection that is evident in every frame.
