Bio

Dan Gartman’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in his heritage, having been born into a family of artists who inspired his creative path from an early age. He began drawing as a child, and by the age of eight, he completed his first commission—restoring an Orthodox icon for a client at his father's encouragement. This early experience laid the groundwork for a diverse career spanning over thirteen years, during which he has excelled in game development, video animation, web design, and illustration. Gartman is known for his commitment to traditional painting techniques, often opting for physically tangible materials over digital graphics. His artistic approach is characterized by a meticulous exploration of geometric forms, striking a harmonious balance between rigid and organic shapes. This unique stylization allows him to create dynamic compositions without veering into the realm of cubism. Outside of his artistic endeavors, Gartman enjoys a variety of hobbies, including vinyl collecting, bushcraft, fitness, board games, video games, and indie films, reflecting his diverse interests and creative influences. His impressive client roster includes renowned names such as KerryGold, Monolith Board Games, SnapChat, and Oxford University Press, showcasing his versatility and appeal across various industries.
