Charles Dennington

Charles Dennington grew up on a banana farm in Korora on the mid-north coast of NSW and in his youth quickly developed a love for experimenting with image-making initially through collecting magazines, painting, and assemblage later getting access to various cameras for the first time in his early 20s at university.   Within Dennington’s work he confidently embraces rich palettes and a sophisticated use of color, light and shadow imbuing his subject matter with vast depth resulting in strong presence and character within his images.    Dennington’s photographic works are held in various private and institutional collections including The Art Gallery Of NSW and The National Portrait Gallery.
