Bio
Brian Kelley, a visionary photographer hailing from Horseheads, NY, has made a significant mark in the world of still-life photography since relocating to New York in 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the prestigious School of Visual Arts, where he honed his unique aesthetic and deepened his exploration of American ephemera and landscapes. Kelley’s artistic journey is defined by his commitment to documenting the rich tapestry of American history through visual storytelling. His ambitious long-term project, the Gathering Growth Foundation, serves as a poignant visual archive dedicated to the oldest and largest trees in the United States. This project not only captures the majesty of these natural wonders but also underscores the importance of conservation and environmental awareness. In addition to this landmark endeavor, Kelley has produced two notable archival books: one focusing on the brochures of the National Park Service and another showcasing artifacts from the New York Transit Authority. Each of these projects reflects his dedication to preserving and celebrating the cultural heritage of America. Currently, Kelley divides his time between the serene landscapes of Lumberland, NY, and the vibrant art scene of Brooklyn, NY, where he continues to push the boundaries of his craft and inspire others through his lens.
