Björn Wallander
Bio
**Björn: A Journey Through Light and Space** Hailing from the picturesque harbor town of Västervik in Southern Sweden, Björn's fascination with photography ignited at a young age. Although he initially embarked on a path in engineering, it soon became clear that his true calling lay behind the lens. This revelation prompted him to relocate to Oslo, Norway, where he honed his skills by assisting esteemed photographers such as Knut Bry. After three enriching years in Oslo, Björn set his sights on the vibrant art scene of New York. There, he forged a lasting partnership with the renowned Brigitte Lacombe, alongside collaborations with luminaries like Albert Watson and Frederick Lieberath. These experiences not only refined his technical prowess but also allowed him to cultivate his distinctive voice in photography. While assisting industry giants, Björn dedicated himself to personal projects that explored his two greatest passions: portraiture and interior photography. His unique ability to capture the interplay of light and space has garnered him recognition in prestigious publications, including *Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Harper's Bazaar, WSJ Magazine, Vogue Brazil,* and many others. His commercial work boasts collaborations with prominent brands such as Ralph Lauren, American Express, and the Tribeca Film Festival. Now based in New York, Björn continues to push creative boundaries. When he’s not behind the camera, you can find him exploring the city on his bike or sailing in search of breathtaking vistas, always with a camera in hand to capture the beauty around him.
