Ben Ingham
Bio
Ben Ingham is a London-based photographer and filmmaker whose passion for visual storytelling ignited at the tender age of nine. Leaving school to pursue a photography apprenticeship, he boldly ventured to New York at 18, where he honed his craft alongside legendary photographers Richard Avedon and Bruce Weber. After four transformative years in the vibrant city, Ingham spent a year and a half in India, capturing the essence of life as a film stills photographer and correspondent for the Times of India before returning to the UK. Ingham's work is marked by an unflinching engagement with his subjects, eschewing traditional formats in favor of innovative, risk-taking approaches that challenge both technical and artistic boundaries. His dynamic portfolio has earned him exhibitions in prestigious galleries worldwide and a place in numerous private collections. Ingham masterfully balances his time between personal projects that reflect his artistic vision and commercial commissions that showcase his versatility. In 2010, he made his directorial debut with the documentary film "D’Acciaio" for Rapha, a project that laid the groundwork for an impressive body of work that now includes over 30 films. His clientele features an array of esteemed brands such as Rapha, Adidas, Barclays, Dunhill, Guinness, Asics, Fullers, Hunter, LinkedIn, Stella McCartney, Monocle, and De Beers. He has collaborated with leading media agencies including AMV BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi, The Corner, Adam & Eve DDB, and Announcement, solidifying his reputation as a creative force in contemporary visual arts.
