Arnaud Pyvka, born in Poitiers, Paris, is a dynamic artist currently based in Paris, where he seamlessly blends his passions for photography, film, and art direction. With a background in modern history from Poitiers University, he laid the foundation for his creative journey by founding the Henri Langlois International Conference as part of the International Film School Festival, underscoring his early commitment to the arts. Upon relocating to Paris, Pyvka embarked on a diverse career that has allowed him to collaborate with renowned artists across various disciplines. His expertise quickly attracted the attention of prestigious fashion magazines and luxury brands, including Hermès, where he honed his artistic vision in the fast-paced world of high fashion. His leadership transformed the magazine into a celebrated platform for innovative art and culture, reflecting his unique sensibility and forward-thinking approach. Now fully dedicated to photography and video, Pyvka's work embodies a rich, historical perspective while embracing a multimedia ethos. He articulates his artistic philosophy: “The freedom in combining these mediums helps to jolt my memory, interpret time and everyday life in order to rebuild them, isolate them and play with them.” This approach allows him to create evocative narratives that resonate with viewers. Arnaud's work has been showcased in prestigious exhibitions, including La Fiac, Art Basel Miami, Frieze, Paris Photo, and Parcours Saint Germain, as well as group gallery shows. He has also held three solo exhibitions at La B.A.N.K Galerie in Paris, solidifying his status as a notable figure in the contemporary art scene. His advertising campaigns have included collaborations with leading brands such as Bonpoint, Bergdorf Goodman, Céline, and Diane Von Furstenberg, among others. Arnaud has served as Artistic Director for high-profile projects with Toyota, Giorgio Armani perfumes, and Martin Margiela runway shows, as well as numerous art exhibitions, showcasing his versatility and creative prowess. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Arnaud Pyvka continues to be an innovative and passionate publisher of Double Magazine, where he remains at the forefront of contemporary art and culture.
