Bio
Alex Franco began his journey in photography at a young age in his vibrant hometown of Barcelona. A self-taught artist, he took a bold step in his early twenties by relocating to London, where he honed his skills while assisting prominent figures in the fashion industry. Although his foundation is rooted in fashion, Franco has garnered acclaim primarily for his evocative travel photography, capturing the essence of diverse cultures in breathtaking locations such as Mongolia and Ethiopia. Franco's work is distinguished by its unique ability to blend natural imagery with rich storytelling, infusing his photographs with character and style. His signature approach often incorporates dramatic shadows, geometric compositions, and the abstraction of human forms, seamlessly merging the realms of portraiture and documentary. Beyond his creative pursuits, Franco is deeply committed to using photography as a powerful tool for social change. In 2016, he immersed himself in the urgent realities of the refugee crisis in Calais, producing a poignant body of work that culminated in an impactful exhibition and fundraiser in both Barcelona and London. Currently, Franco divides his time between London and Mallorca, continuing to explore the world through his lens while inspiring dialogue and awareness through his art.
