About

This portrait photograph by Thomas Giddings captures two figures standing side by side with their backs to the camera, looking out across a broad river. Both individuals wear white hijabs draped over their heads, long tunics, and trousers, carrying large brown backpacks strapped to their shoulders. They stand on a concrete edge near a muddy, rocky shoreline bordering the calm water, with distant tree-lined shores visible on the far side. The lighting is soft and natural, suggesting an overcast day with muted tones dominating the scene. The composition emphasizes a quiet, contemplative moment in an open outdoor environment.
