Description

This documentary photograph by Steve McCurry captures a poignant scene during a heavy downpour outdoors. In the foreground, an older man wearing a bright yellow turban and traditional attire holds a large black umbrella over a crouching child who covers their face with their hands. Raindrops visibly streak through the air and ripple across the wet ground surrounding them. In the midground to the left, a second person is crouched beneath another black umbrella amidst sparse green vegetation. The natural lighting and wet textures enhance the stark, moody atmosphere of the rainy environment.
