Steve McCurry, Photographer, New York

Description

This documentary photograph by Steve McCurry captures a close-up scene focusing on the lower half of an adult standing beside a suspended fabric hammock. The adult wears loose blue trousers and stands barefoot on a natural earth ground. Inside the brown fabric pouch, a small infant rests with tiny feet visible near the opening. The composition emphasizes natural textures, from the woven cloth of the carrier to the rough ground beneath.
