Description

This monochrome photographic portrait captures an elderly man seated on a wooden stool in a studio setting. The subject is dressed in a dark coat, heavy sweater, trousers, and a flat cap, angled slightly downward with a thoughtful expression. The lighting is soft and directional, accentuating the rich textures of his clothing and the weathered canvas backdrop behind him. Wooden crates sit on the floor to the left, adding depth to the rustic composition. Photographed by Stephan Vanfleteren in Milan, the image employs a classic documentary aesthetic with a deeply tactile finish.
