Nowness Empty 2026

Description

This atmospheric video produced for Nowness features contemporary dancers performing choreographed routines across two distinctive decaying locations. Dancers move through a cavernous, dusty gymnasium with arched windows and dramatic light beams streaming through broken glass. Scenes also feature performers in neutral leotards gathered and dancing inside an empty tiled indoor swimming pool. The cinematography utilises soft natural light and desaturated tones to emphasize the brutalist and neglected architectural environment. The collaboration highlights graceful movement and physical expression contrasted against industrial decay.
