Munachi Osegbu, Photographer, Los Angeles

Description

This black and white photograph captured by Munachi Osegbu in Los Angeles features a young man climbing a metal fire escape stairs attached to a brick building. The composition employs dramatic low-key lighting and strong chiaroscuro effects, casting sharp diagonal shadows across the brick facade and the figure. The subject is captured mid-action, grasping the metal railing while looking back over his shoulder with a serious expression. The heavy contrast accentuates the textures of the brickwork and the industrial metal framing of the staircase.
