Marguerite Bornhauser, Photographer, Paris

Description

This botanical photograph by Marguerite Bornhauser captures a close vertical stack of pale pink hollyhock flowers in Paris. The large, delicate petals feature deep magenta radiating centers and prominent yellow stamens. The flowers are illuminated with direct flash lighting, casting stark, hard shadows against a dark background. The saturated color palette highlights the sharp contrast between the light floral tones and the dark surrounding environment.
