Lorenz Schmidl, Photographer, New York

Description

This photograph by Lorenz Schmidl captures a carved green stone animal sculpture resting horizontally on a dark, highly polished wooden tabletop. The sculpture exhibits mottled green tones and smooth, organic contours with visible carved feet and facial details, casting a soft reflection on the glossy surface below. In the background, patterned fabric curtains with a textured floral or botanical motif provide a warm, soft-focused backdrop. The composition is framed horizontally with direct flash lighting creating sharp highlights and defined shadows beneath the sculpture.
