About

This close-up photograph captures a small ceramic bowl filled with an assortment of green and red olives. The bowl rests upon a heavily patterned, polished stone or marble countertop displaying swirling earth-tone textures. The composition employs a warm, subdued lighting palette with soft shadows emphasizing the glossy surfaces of the olives and the reflective sheen of the stone. In the background, a dark surface and a blurred utensil hint at an intimate kitchen environment. The shot was captured by photographer Kate Moore.
