Joshua Kissi, Photographer, New York

Description

This portrait photograph by Joshua Kissi features a Black woman with braided hair wearing a dark turtleneck sweater and matching skirt. She is seated gracefully on an upholstered wooden bench against a minimalist light-colored wall with soft directional shadows. Her right arm is raised with her hand open, while her bare feet rest partially on the bench and a pair of slip-on sandals sits on the floor nearby. The warm, low-contrast color grading and natural lighting create a calm, intimate atmosphere.
