Jean Mallard, Illustrator, Paris

Description

This vertical illustration by Paris-based illustrator Jean Mallard depicts a sweeping landscape scene under a warm, gradient sunset sky with a bold red sun. A green field extends across the foreground, dotted with numerous slender trees featuring distinct umbrella-like canopies. In the distance, a calm body of water separates the field from a low-lying city skyline silhouette. A small group of tiny figures are gathered on the central lawn, framed by tall vertical tree trunks and reflections in the water. The textured, grainy finish gives the artwork a traditional, painterly feel.
