Description

This high angle editorial photograph by Clayton Cotterell captures a bicycle polo match played on a reddish terracotta court. Long, dramatic shadows of the players and their bicycles stretch across the ground beneath bright natural light. In the foreground, a bright orange ball rests on the court surface near yellow-handled mallets, with the white net of a goal visible in the upper left corner. The composition emphasizes graphic shadowplay and the geometric lines of court markings and bicycle frames.
