James Pearson-howes, Photographer, London

Description

This outdoor photograph by London-based photographer James Pearson-howes captures a man standing on an asphalt roadside beside a tall, multi-tiered rotating postcard display rack. The man is dressed in a dark blue jacket and black trousers, holding a small postcard or paper slip in his hands while looking down intently. In the midground, a dark passenger car is blurred as if in motion against a muted, overcast sky. The lighting is natural and directional, casting a sharp shadow of the display stand across the ground. The composition balances the stationary figure and rack against the dynamic motion of the background elements.
