About

This black and white photograph captured by Maggie Shannon depicts a young girl holding a small goat in her arms. The scene is set outdoors with soft natural light highlighting the textures of the girl's patterned clothing and the goat's fur. Another person's hand reaches in from the right to feed a leafy branch to the animal, while a third individual is partially visible in the background wearing a plaid shirt and hat. The composition focuses intimately on the interaction between the child and the animal, rendered in a classic documentary style.
